Brass Aluminium Steel (Gal.) Locknuts
Application Brass: Brass Locknuts are traditional components used in fastening glands to the gland plate & as they are identical material to the gland, corrosion effects are minimal.
Mild Steel: Steel (Galvanized) Locknuts are a cheaper alternative & should be used only dry, low humidity conditions.
Aluminium: Alu. Locknuts are for use with PEPL Alu. Glands only. eg: BWA & CWA. Alu. Locknuts are recommended when installing PEPL Alu. Cable Glands to prevent the electrolytic action of galvanic corrosion which can occur when dissimilar metals are coupled together.
Function

Standard: With ISO metric thread as per EN 60423. To secure only brass cable glands to a gland plate.
EMC: With ISO metric thread as per EN 60423 with cutting edges to cut through paint layers or powder coatings, for optimum contact.

Function

Standard: With metric thread as per EN 60423 or DIN 40430. To secure only brass cable glands to a gland plate.
EMC: With metric thread as per EN 60423 or DIN 40430 with cutting edges to cut through paint layers or powder coatings, for optimum contact.
